I HAVE SOME FAIRLY CHEAP GUITARS (SOME I HAVE HAD FOR OVER 20 YEARS. NONE ARE WORTH MORE THAN A FEW HUNDRED POUNDS POUNDS BUT THEY HAVE SENTIMENTAL VALUE AND PLAYING IS MY MAIN HOBBY. WOULD THEY BE CLASSED AS ASSETS AND WOULD I LOSE THEM?

I agree with BigAl,

Unless they are "Fenders" or the like, they are safe in your hands

Good luck, Richard

Hi Andrew and welcome to the forum,
From what you say I doubt it, as it would cost more to realise them as assets once the OR's agents and costs have been taken out.
