Posted - 20 April 2011 : 22:15:44 hi all, just been reading up on ebay laws and you dont have to pay tax on sold items as long as you havent bought them to sell, so my question is would the OR need to be informed of selling on the net?? it might not make you a millionare but it might help buy food, etc etc

Posted - 21 April 2011 : 08:13:28 I agree with Jan.
Your old clothes, toys etc are all exempt in BR so you can do what you want with them.
Posted - 20 April 2011 : 22:20:35 I am sure that if you are selling your own stuff then you don't have to declare it to the OR. If it is a business then that is different.
I sell my old stuff on there often.
