Hi all

This is my first post and i could really use some advice. Heres my position

I'm 45k in debt and just about to become employed after 2 years of self employment. Within the 45k i have approx 10 k that will be due to HMRC in January. The rest is credit cards and loans. My salary will just about cover the repayments but theres no leeway for mistakes! I'd rather not go bankrupt with a debt to the HMRC as they could slow things down a lot so i am taking a loan to pay this off. Its a business loan and is valid for this purpose. I'm going to see how things go from here but i can't see the debt reducing as most is on credit cards. should i just call it a day and hope the hmrc dont cause problems. I think they work out a figure owed and they are also entitled to request records for investigation purposes. Whilst i have nothing to hide, this would be another stress i could do wothout!
any advice would be welcomed.

thanks

ben

Hello,

Best thing to do is speak to an expert, they have contact details on this site and as someone who has used their advice I would definately reccomend discussing things with a qualified professional.
