Hi Debbie,
Just wanted to tell you our experience. Our car HP was less than a year old when we went BR. We were initally told by HP company that they would re-possess but then they seemed to have a change of heart and told us that as long as we maintained payments, no further action would be taken. The OR did not allow our repayments in our I&E and so we have to absorb the monthly repayments other ways. Hope this helps.

It really depends on whether the HP company will keep you as a customer or terminate and repossess the car, which you may find is written into your T&Cs. Also whether the OR thinks that the payments are reasonable and justified. Also depends on value of car etc.
I suggest you talk to the HP company and perhaps give an expert a call on here too.
