Posted - 05 May 2011 : 16:37:13 I am thinking of declaring bankruptcy knave debts here in ireland from Irish and UK banks that I know iwill never be able to repay l know if l move to england and become a resident that after12 months I will be discharged in ireland it is 12years does the same process take place in northern ireland any advice would help Thank you |

Posted - 08 May 2011 : 08:09:39 If they believe that the sole reason for declaring bankruptcy in england is to avoid the irish system (like RHB says, bankruptcy tourism) then the trustee could ask the court to revoke the bankruptcy order and give you your debts back.
If you are truly and permenantly moving to england then that is fine |

Posted - 07 May 2011 : 22:21:35 Sorry for the late reply I am a bit brain dead the way I see it might as well remain in the UK Ireland is slowly going down the tubes so I be better of in the UK nothing here for me stuck in a low paid job cost of living is twice that and more than in the uk I am just concerned how would it be viewed if I left my job here went to England to declare bankruptcy that I can't do in **** hole ireland would it be frowned upon whats your opinion
