Hi,

i am a few weeks away from an early discharge and the wife is due to receive som money from the sale of her parents (divorced) house. She is due to receive about £12k. My question is that i was the one who declared bankrupt and my partner is adehring to pay her debts. Will this money be affected at all by the my bankruptcy?? Also we should'nt have to declare this to anyone, shuld we???

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome.

I imagine that as only you are bankrupt then your wifes money will be hers and nothing to do with you, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

One of the experts will be able to give definitive advice.

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.
