I am considering going bankrupt. I split up with my wife from a previous address and became addicted to cocaine and other drugs. I haven't paid my debts for around 3 to 4 years. I am worried that because I live with my mum now that if i got bankrupt they can take anything from her house. DO I need bills to prove that I don't own anything in the House?

Hi Vinny and welcome.

Your impending bankruptcy will have no impact on your mum and her belongings. Yours will probably be ok as well as long as you don't have anything of great value.

Be aware though that if you have had a problem with drugs and gambling there is a good chance you will get a BRU.

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.
