all down to the contract, whether the debt is secured on the goods, most of the time it is not

Hi Michelle.11
I had some bnpl items outstanding as I went BR and they were not repossessed.
They were not of a huge value so I wonder, as John has said, if it was not cost effective to do that.

The same question has been asked on the IVA forum and people who are in an IVA have not lost their goods.

Presumably it would be the same with bankruptcy. Might be worth having a look at the specific terms of the purchase to see if it says anything in there.

Hiya Michelle.11

I suspect that the goods will not belong to you until you have paid for them and you would run the risk of them being repossessed. However, in reality, this may not be a cost effective option depending on the nature of the bnpl items.

All the best
