Posted - 25 May 2011 : 15:56:54 I have been unable to cope financially and my IVA is about to fail. I have been advised to go down Bankruptcy route. Are the allowances the same as in a IVA and would my disposable income be the same figure as I paid on my IVA? If it is I am already worried I won't be able to cope. Also, could anyone shed any light on 0% tax code. Everything seems so much to take in at present and I am not sure the right questions to ask.

Posted - 25 May 2011 : 17:21:09 Hi Kirsty,
Sorry about your IVA failing, your IP should be able to give you some good advice regarding bankruptcy but of course, we are all here for you.
You need to list everything you spend regardless of allowances, your IPA may be the same as IVA, more or less, but if you've really been struggling with your essential bills etc, it's more likely that your payments will be less than your IVA, or even none at all if you have no surplus.
Give one of the experts a call to chat everything through or ask your IP for help.
Please keep posting.
