Posted - 24 June 2011 : 20:23:36 Hello, first time poster here, looking for some advice. I declared myself bankrupt in May 2009. I've since been discharged, although I am making IPA payments. There were two creditors whom I forget to include on my bankruptcy, which I only realised when they began chasing me recently! An electricity company for £33 and an gym membership which I wasn't allowed to keep after the bankruptcy. They keep threatening to 'default' me which does astonish me as a bankrupt, my credit file is pretty shot as it is. I'm really just asking should I just ignore them or try something else. I did send letters to the gym company advising of my bankruptcy and to speak to my OR but they replied pretty much saying it didn't matter and they were still going to chase the debt. I feel really angry that I've pretty much ruined my life with this, and yet they still want more from me. Can anyone advise about debts not included on the original bankruptcy order? Any help greatly appreciated.

Posted - 24 June 2011 : 20:27:45 Hi and welcome to the forum. Debts from before your BR date are included in your BR whether they were listed on your forms or not.
I would send the creditors a copy of BR order along with the details of your OR and hopefully this will put an end to it.
