Posted - 29 July 2011 : 17:49:10 Hi please can someone help? I was made bankrupt a year ago, was discharged, but have restrictions for the next 6 years. this was largely due to the fact i took out a loan for a family member who also used several credit cards of mine (with permission!!) the total value he took was £30,000. He agreed to repay the loan installments and credit card payments, this was never done, is there anyway i can get this money back, as he is telling family members he didn't borrow money from me but it "was the bank's money" and doesn't really care that because of his non payments i was made bankrupt because i coulnd't afford any of the repayments. My home and apartment were also taken by the bank as they were rented out at the time of bankruptcy. There is evidence of a transfer of £15,000 into his bank account but other than that the rest was taken ot by cash, basically do i have a leg to stand on as a friend said the inital agreement was he would pay back any money he borrowed - he seems to think this is not the case now that im bankrupt.
many thanks |
