Posted - 20 August 2011 : 07:55:24 I work for a large bank and if I declare bankruptcy I am pretty sure I will lose my job.Will declaring bankruptcy also affect me getting employment in another country outside the EU?

Check with your contract of employment or make an anonymous phone call to HR to see whether or not it will affect you. Depending upon your role then you may be ok.
As regards employment outside the UK then I'd speak to the embassy for whichever country you are thinking of and see what they say.
Speak to an expert if you need to, there are a couple of companies who post on here and you can find their details under the expert link on the lefthand side of the page. The advice is free and impartial.
