Posted - 13 September 2011 : 18:00:34 I am a bankrupt and now have a debt agency chasing me for a debt that was in joint names,although this was all taken counted into my debts at the time They are saying that my husband is now liable for the joint debt, is this right??

Unfortunately, the non bankrupt party will be liable for the debt as you are both jointly and severally liable.
He will have to come to some sort of arrangement with the company.
They shouldn't be chasing you though, they should be chasing him.
