i have been made bankrupt but i have paid my tax through my company a sub contract off . but handed no books in for all yhe time i am self employed cos i never new the rules .if anything they owe me money for i have never claimed dole and have been on a very low wage .. i have worked for aprox 4 years out of 10 and not claimed .please help for i have a 50 tho pound bill and stand to lose my house and up to my eyes in debt to prove//

Im afraid that ignorance is not a defence of the law, and HMRC have every right to estimate your tax if you dont do your books, i suggest that you see an accountant very quickly if you dont want to remain bankrupt also an Insolvency practitioner if you are going to challange it, every day you waste will get more expensive in the long run.

if you do remain bankrupt then we can discuss the implications, such as what other debts do you have, how much is the house worth and what debts are secured on it, do you have any other assets
