we are in the process of saving uo £1400 for bankruptcy and its taking forever. We are still months away from being able to declare bankrupt. We have had tw payday loans referred to a debt collection agency (Credit Resource4 solutions) Can anyone offer any advice n the best way to deal with debt collection agencies. We would like to avoid them calling round and wondered if telling them the truth about our upcoming bankrupcy was the best policy. Any advice/shared experiences would be greatly appreciated as we are really worried. thanks David

Unfortunately there is nothing more than you can do but tell them that this is your intention to become bankrupt. It will make them think. However people are using this as an excuse for not paying their debts and a lot of creditors know this. Until you actually make yourself bankrupt, the hassling, I am afraid, will continue.

Yes be up front with creditors tell them you are petitioning for bankruptcy and saving for the fees, at least they know what is going on but it wont hold them off forever, the chances of anyone turning up at your property is remote, these tactics are used to make you pay
