Hi,
Quick question
Will be declaring bankrupt once I have save uo the £1400.
Will i need to apply for a new bank account, even if i have no debts, overdrafts, loans etc with my current bank?
Do they automatically freeze all accounts you hold.
Thanks
Eva

If you are with HSBC or First Direct then you need to change even if they are not one of your creditors - they actively trawl the Insolvency Register and will close your accounts even if they are not a creditor.

Follow through
Make your dreams come true
Don't give up the fight
You will be alright
'Cause there's no one like you in the universe

Hi Eva,

Yes you will need to open a new bank account which is bankruptcy friendly. You can check with your current bank, but I recommend the Co-Operative Bank Cashminder account.
