Posted - 19 October 2011 : 23:15:04 hi all, me and my wife were declared br in march 09 and discharched in march 10, believe it or not ive only just got round to trying to sort my credit file out today......ive noticed that there was a ccj issued against me 13 days after i was declared br and it is still active, all my creditors were included in the br but this ccj is from a collection company that has bought one of my debts. i moved house as soon as we declared br and had no idea about this ccj, NOBODY has contacted be regarding the money owed. i was under the impression that once br things like this shouldnt happen. any help would be welcomed.

If the debt was outstanding as at the date of the bankruptcy order, then the debt is included in the bankruptcy
Write to the creditor/collection agency concerned and provide a copy of your bankruptcy order
You shoulalso send a copy of your credit file with a covering letter to the OR who dealt with your bankruptcy and advise them of the additional creditor
