Would getting a pay rise before going BR make any difference to BR?

Basically my contract at work might be going permanent this week and I'm not sure whether I should ask for a payrise.

Would I see any benefit to getting a pay rise or would I just loose it all when the BR happens and it not help in anyway.

We'd be talking a 2k payrise max. (I'm currently on 18k)

Hi Singingsister

The simple answer is yes. In all probility, you would loose it. However it depends on what free funds you have after all your bills and essential payments have been paid per month.

All the best
