Posted - 14 November 2011 : 15:20:17 Yes, you can claim for haircuts. I can't remember exactly what I was allowed, but and I can't get into my blog to check but it I think it was £10 a month.
It might be worth speaking to one of the experts regarding your income and expenditure. Their details are either at the bottom of their posts or in the experts section at the side of the page.

Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 and I'm now looking forward to getting married in September 2012 - I'm proof that you can go BR and come out the other side. |

Once you have claimed for everything, is your DI more than £20 a month?

Posted - 13 November 2011 : 22:12:03 Thanks for your repies. Yes, rent & council tax are paid for & because of my age & situation I don`t pay for dental or medical. I can`t remember the last time I had a haircut ! I thought that would be considered an unnecessary indulgence. I guess what I`m really worried about is the prospect of an IPA.

Posted - 13 November 2011 : 18:53:39 You need to allow for the dentist and hair cuts but as you're a pensioner I imagine your prescription charges are free.

Posted - 13 November 2011 : 15:39:52 Do you get your rent and council tax paid for also dentists and medicines as they're not on the list?
You will probably only be allowed £10 for emergencies
Do you pay to get your hair cut? I would add something in for that if you do.
If that's what you spend then that's what you should put down.
