Hi,

Could you take a look at this and tell me what you think with regards to income/expeniture for the OR?

A bit of back ground - I am in the process of moving house - my tenancy comes to an end this month and I have spent the last two months looking for somewhere to rent, however most landlords/agencies in the area wont allow me to rent as an undischarged BR. The one place that has allowed me to rent, with a BR, is £100 more expensive per month than where I currently am, but with time running out before the end of this tennacy, I dont have much choice.

I went BR in April this year and found myself out of work. I have recently started back at work and notified the OR and just recieved my Inc/Exp form to fill in.

Anyway, here we go - Single person, living on own and 1 pet cat!

I travel between Durham - Newcastl - Castleford and Teesside on a regular basis - hence the high fuel cost.

Income is £2480.00, this includes an 8% pension contribution through my company scheme.
I have arrears with my student loans of around £7000 and they pretty much want every penny that I have spare at the end of the month!
Rent £900.00
Council Tax £178.00
Gas/Electric £110.00
Pet Insurance £20.00
Car Insurance £40.00
Phone £40.00
TV License £13.00
Water £50.00
Petrol £200.00
Food etc £250.00
TV Package inc Internet £30.00
Car Tax £20.00
Hair £10.00
Student Loans £400.00
Emergency Fund £20.00
Holiday £20.00
Clothing £40.00
House Insurance £15.00

Leaves £124 a month left over - but I still think Student Loans are going to want that?

Hi Richard -

Thanks for this.

The amounts I have quoted are taken from my bank statements - avergae monthly spends at petrol stations and supermarkets etc so should i provide a bank statement?

Should be interesting with the student loans as when I spoke to my OR, who was very helpful so far, he hadnt come across this situation before where SL are demanding my full disposable income.

Darren

you can only enter on I & E what you actually spend so if you can back up any / all of the above that will be fine.

OR V Student loans people yes both want your hide and both will state that one is more important than other you have already allocated 400 to student loans so OR might argue preferential treatment.

Good Luck Richard,
