If you wished to file for bankruptcy in the UK< you can do so by two methods, either return to the UK to file for bankruptcy in person 9although you can use 'bankruptcy assist' to complete the forms OR appoint a Power of Attorney' to complete forms and apply for bankruptcy for you eliminating the need to return to the UK
