Hi, Thanks! Interview was ok(ish) Reciever asked loads of questions, mostly about my ex and his property, which was repossessed back in 2009. And he asked repeatededly about my disablility and how it affects me in working. Then basically what the BR means to me, and the insolvency services requirments that i needed to be made aware of!

Hi Jen45.

Just wanted to say good luck for the 12th & also to recommend that you don't put your full name on your posts....You never know who's watching!!!

Maybe one of the 'Mod's' can remove.

Let us know how you get on.

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.

Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 and I'm now looking forward to getting married in September 2012 - I'm proof that you can go BR and come out the other side.

Thanks Debtinfo and Daniel Griffiths.Iam seeing my solicitor tomorrow,so shall take your advice ask about the importance of how
the claim is settled.
I have got another Interview with the official reciever 12th December. He said something about sending me forms to fill in, finding this whole thing very daunting, and will be glad when i can put it behind me.

However Jen45 most accident compensation awards these days are known as global settlements which means the Insurers offer what is known as a part 36 offer to settle which is an amount which covers both Personal Injury and Out of pocket expenses as one awarded sum, please tell your solicitor about your bankruptcy status and the importance of how your claim is settled

Yes you need to tell the receiver, basically in an accident like that there are 2 sides to any compensation, loss to your estate so for instance damage to a car or loss of earnings is one and the other is damage to you personally such as compensation to help with an injury. The first goes to the receiver the second goes to you.

Now the other thing you need to know is who has the right to take the case forward. If it is personal only then you do, if it is estate only or a mixture of both then the receiver has the right to take the case forward

Hello, yes, have had first interview with official reciever,
but i have made a personal injury claim as a result of being
involved in a road accident earlier this year, the claim is still under invesigation by the insurance company. I need to know if the reciever needs to know this, and if he does, what will happen to any compensation i might recieve?
