What if you cannot afford to pay the £700 court fees? I am really struggling and theres no way I will ever manage to get £700 together and my family are not able to assist me. Plese advise. Thanks

Good advice from glafy.

Make sure that once you have made the decision to go bankrupt, that you stop paying your debts, hopefully some of that money can go towards your fees.

Hello Peter.b & welcome to the forum.
It certainly is a ridiculous situation that one has to pay £700 to file for BR!!!
Try logging on to Utility company websites & look for their 'welfare' sections. Some have info' on how to apply to them for assistance with BR. This cannnot be done retrospectively.
Some unions, if you are a member, will also assist with BR fees.
