can you tell me if i need to let the OR know if I receive a tax rebate? im making ipa payments of £80 a month and have six months left. And what will happen if i dont tell them? I had a rebate before but never received it as I hadnt been discharged at the time however this time its come staight to me. Is it likely tax man will tel them.

Posted - 14 January 2012 : 18:27:11 You need to keep them informed of any changes to your income and expenditure and any bonus/overtime etc.
If you win the lottery etc or are given a house, then you don't need to notify the official receiver as long as you are discharged. The exception to this is if the house was due to you before or during your bankruptcy, such as left to you in a will.

Posted - 14 January 2012 : 17:31:49 thanks vicky, if i receive a lump sum of money or get given a property do I have to declare it? I read that I should tell the OR of any changes in circumstances if you're paying an ipa. Even though I'm discharged.
