Hi,

I'm about to make my self bankrupt in UK while living abroad. I've contacted one company, who would deal on my behalf also will attend the Court. The name of the company is Bankruptcy from Abroad. Did anyone used them before? I would need to send them money before hand and I'm not sure if they are genuine.

Hi guys,

I would like to answer to my own question-BFA exists and provide an excellent service. As from last Thursday I'm bankrupt and no much work had to be done by my self. I would like to thank you BFA for your hard work. I would highly recommend their service to those who live abroad and need professional support.

Have to agree with Daniel that travelling over here yourselves and doing the petition has to be cheaper than paying those astronomical fees for someone else to do it.

Do you have any family or friends that could go to court for you?

I know it's a lot of money, but I couldn't just leave it and and do not do anything. I could not have a normal life knowing there are some debts out there.

I'll contact a few experts and ask how this works, I know I can get some support to fill in the forms, I just need to know if any of them could attend the court for me.

Hi Paula

You are living in Singapore you are not therefore at the mercy of the courts baliffs or creditors who are very limited to what they can do to you (unless you still have assetts in the UK) £4000 is a fortune to declare yourself bankrupt, and paying upfront is a worrying thing to do for anyone especialy from abroad, if you have to do this why not wait until you return to the UK in the future, say to visit friends or relatives, your trip would be paid for with what you are contemplating paying now, if you dont ever return then why do it at all. As you have only left the UK in the last 4 months you could travel to London and present your petition yourself as long as you are personally present in England and Wales on the day which the petition was presented.

Why not speak to one of the experts who post on here?

All BR assist companies will go to court for you if you are petitioning from abroad and cannot attend yourself.

Do you have any family or friends over here who you could give power of attorney to and they can attend court on your behalf?

How would you manage to pay this money across - it's an awful lot to have to to find.

There may well be other companies who charge less if you need help.

Yes, the money are on top of the Court fees. Would be great to find someone chipper, but they are only one I found who can do everything including attending the Court which is very important to me. I'm quite desperate for help.

I've not heard of them.

Which country are you living in now and how long since you left the UK?

Hi,

I live in Singapore and moved from UK 4 months ago. They are dealing with people who live in non EU countries.

They want 1200 per person. It would be joint bankruptcy so the price would be double. It is full service and support for all year.
