Posted - 22 March 2012 : 21:31:21 Peter advised that he has received a letter advising he owes £310 for a speeding fine from 2006, this is for the fine and a compliance fee of £85. However he believes he paid this at the time but it was with a credit card he no longer has. He would like to know how long these things are enforceable for, if they are allowed to add the compliance fee and how he can check if the fee was paid originally.

Try contacting the court that the fine would have been payable to - they may be able to help with the fact that you have paid.
