Posted - 22 March 2012 : 22:04:05 I took 2 Egg credit cards in 2000 and owe £8000. I have paid sporadically and have just received a letter from a collections company and need some advice about the Limitation Act which says unsecured credit cards can be written off.

Posted - 22 March 2012 : 22:52:48 Statute of Limitations states that if you have not acknowledge these debts after six years then they are not enforceable.
Sounds as though you have though. Each time you make a payment then the six years starts again.
