Does a teachers pension comes under the limitation act and can it be chased after six years?

If a teacher is receiving their pension and earns too much money following retirement, this is known as abatement; their pension is reduced. Teachers Pensions are now claiming this money from over 6 years ago. Under the Limitation Act, can they claim this debt?
