I have had a trust deed for the last 3 years and paid £2000 into it but I have not been able to pay into it for 18 months. I have additional debt totalling £5000 and have informed my Trustee of this fact but he is not interested and will not release the debt and enable me to go bankrupt.

Any debt that you have aquired since the st deed cant go into a trust deed and you need to pay yourself.

The trustee has discretion to discharge you or not,
if you are employed the trustee can get a wage arrestment to take the money directly.

You should discuss the situation with the trustee, you can seek legal advice if you wish.

If you have not paid due to circumstances beyond your control the trustee should not deny you discharge.
