I have received a bailiff letter who has been threatening and demanded full payment. I have been in hospital and not checked the mail. I am willing to pay but cannot pay full amount. The debt is for Council tax arrears. I have letters and notes to prove i have been in hospital.

Hello there
Give the company, or the council offices a ring and explain your situation - or as an alternative, if that wouldbe too stressful for you at the moment as you have been unweel, make an appointment at your local Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB), they may be able to liaise with the council/bailiff for you.
Do you have other debts? or just this one,if so and you would like further advice as to what your options are, please feel free to post further or indeed discuss with the CAB
