Posted - 26 April 2012 : 19:16:26 I am ending my mobile phone contract because It's expensive and I am currently long term sick and on SSP.
I was told today that I have to wait and forward the BR cert to them and they will disconnect me. I saw on another website that it's best to get a final bill and include it as a creditor.
Is this still the case please?
Thanks |

Posted - 28 April 2012 : 14:30:28 Thanks for the advice Tracey. Yes I don't owe 3 a penny and I've been with them since they started so would like to stay with them if I can.
I gave them all the option to terminate me and 3 said they didn't mind if I stayed. Sky however were not so happy and did (only had phone with them so no biggie) |

Posted - 28 April 2012 : 14:24:22 I kept my contract mobile. As I didn't owe Vodafone any money I didn't list them as a creditor and just carried on paying the bill each month - I was allowed £35 a month.

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.
Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 and I'm now looking forward to getting married in September 2012 - I'm proof that you can go BR and come out the other side. |

Posted - 28 April 2012 : 14:10:28 Would I be allowed to keep it?
For what I use it for there's nothing else that comes near. I would want to try and keep something ticking over for my credit file. I would be spending not much less on a PAYG as I am on this contract anyway.
it's always been £35 a month. I've paid it even when I have been on benefits.

Ah okay fair enough. I have got myself a good PAYG deal with another provider. Never used them so never owed them anything.
Thanks |

Posted - 26 April 2012 : 19:23:31 You can include the contract as a creditor, you don't need the final bill, the OR will confirm the amount owing with them after the bankruptcy.
Get yourself a pay as you go before the bankruptcy.
