Posted - 05 May 2012 : 14:40:36 I am applying for bankruptcy due to the loss of my job, eviction from a council property due to rent arrears and a couple of utility and credit debts. Once I am officially a bankrupt, does a local authority have a duty to house me? Or must I wait until I am discharged? Thanks in advance for your help.

The bankruptcy won't come into it, it will all be based on your circumstances, ie, whether you have children, whether you have a disability etc.
