Has the Attachment of Earnings Order been applid for yet, or have you jusT been notified of the intent?
If an individual does not wish his employer to know/be contacted, he can ask for the order to be 'suspended (most creditors will do this automatically once they have the order). If the court agrees to the suspension, the debtor (you) would make payments direct to the creditor. However, if you fail to make payments the creditor has the ability to request that the court reissues the order and this is sent to the debtors employer without any further warning.
Hope this helps, Melanie
