A bailiff forced his way into my property this morning and injured my partner in the process. The debt is not mine, but the previous tenant's, so he would like to know where he stands if they come back.

Hi Stephen and welcome to the forum

Bailiff's have a code of conduct, part of this is that if the debtor is not present they must leave to premises.

Have a look here http://www.bailiffadviceonline.co.uk/index.htm you can find some useful template letters if you wish to make a complaint

Let us know how you get on

Sounds awful. I suggest he takes legal advice or visits the CAB asap.
