Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.
Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 and I'm now looking forward to getting married in September 2012 - I'm proof that you can go BR and come out the other side. |

Posted - 25 June 2012 : 13:40:28 Thanks Tracey,
I will get in touch with moonbeevers in that case, although I think I may leave it another month as I don't think my actual 36 months comes to term until July. I was lucky in that I only had to pay my monthly IPA payments for 27 months rather than the full 36 as they suspended my payments. At least I paid something back though, so I am happy with that. Now all I need to do is get the next 3 years over with and bankruptcy will finally be out of my life.

Posted - 22 June 2012 : 11:04:23 Moon Beever sent me a letter xmas baby. It might be worth giving them a call and asking them to confirm in writing that your IPA is now finished just for your own records.
If your circumstances change and you can no longer afford an IPA in most cases the payments are suspended until the 36 months is up and the IPA is closed. In some cases the IPA can be closed early though.

Posted - 22 June 2012 : 10:53:09 Even if you stop payments, the term continues as though you were still paying. So you were effectively paying nothing each month for the the last year. So the 36 month term finishes when it was originally due to. Hope that makes sense?

Posted - 22 June 2012 : 10:42:36 Hi there,
I finished my IPA payments last month, although as from last September, due to an increase in expenditures, they kindly stopped any further monthly payments. I have not received anything to say my IPA has finished though, which I thought they would have sent me. Is this normal?
Am I right in assuming that if they decide to stop IPA payments at any point during the IPA period, this does not increase the usual 3 year IPA term does it?

Posted - 11 June 2012 : 14:10:17 Congratulations! I received a letter from Moon Beever confirming that I had made all my payments. If you don't receive anything there is no harm in giving them a call.
