Hi, ive looked at my credit report and only one creditor is showing as satisfied balance, although it still shows default aswel. All the rest still show as default and balance oweing plus i had a ccj which was included in bankruptcy and that still shows as active/oweing.

Do i have to write to them and do i send a copy of my discharge details that i printed off online? The ccj, do i write to the actual court it was issued from? or my own court? Thanks Anna

I agree with Viki. They will have taken your details from the register prior to discharge. They are ambulance chasers and best avoided.

ccj's are different, although they cant be enforced, the court wont remove the entry until the creditor agrees that the debt is actually settles, which it obviously is not so it will just sit on there until the 6 years have passed when it will dissapear, since you have a bankruptcy mark on your credit file though it wont make that much difference

Hi Anna,

If you google the company, a lot comes up about other people who have been contacted by them after bankruptcy. My advice would be to not contact them.

Yes, you need to contact the court re your ccj.

Hi, just wondered do i contact the courts and which one in regards to my ccj that was included in bankrupcy? but is still showing as active/oweing on my credit report.

Also i received a letter today from a company called jefferson hobbs asking me to contact them as they have issues that they feel may be of interest to me. I looked them up and found they are a debt advice/iva company, not sure why they have my details and why they are contacting me as a discharged bankrupt though. Anna

Hi Anna,

Write to the creditors enclosing a copy of your discharge and tell them to put the date back to.the date you were declared BR. Not sure about the ccj, hopefully either Viki or debtinfo will be on later to advise.
