I actually feel a little guilty that I have been able to walk away from my obligations. This is not how I was brought up. But circumstances dictated that there was no other option. To everyone who is looking at the court paperwork and wondering what the hell it all means, I would offer one work of advice. ASK. The people on this forum are knowledgeable and will help you. Your local CAB will (should) have a debt advisor who can not only advise you, but can also help you fill in the forms. This service will not cost you a penny. My own circumstances could not have been more straight forward in that my partner (unconnected to my debts) works and I had no income or assets. Your circumstances may be more complicated but believe me, people will help you. Also, please do not fear going to court. My own experience, although humbling because of what you are having to do, was painless and I was never talked down to or made to feel that I had done anything wrong. Good luck you you all.
