Posted - 31 August 2012 : 17:41:56 Just to add to what richard has said, it is quite common for the rights to be passed on from the original owner, for example to the financiers of a project, to the distributors of a project, in trusts etc, this is whyit can get complicated as the person who created something is not always the current owner of that work |

Posted - 31 August 2012 : 16:16:03 The rights could be considered an asset, so the administrator / trustee / OR would / could realise the asset and split the proceeds between creditors.
films / music and intellectual rights are hard to value, so the OR would look for best offer
they may even "sell" back to a relative of the original owner.
again very complex and best to run past an expert as every circumstances are slightly different.. each Or area will also respond slightly different
Good Luck Richard,
