Posted - 31 August 2012 : 13:08:49 hi i was made br in MAY this year and was sent a letter last week saying under section 279(2)they are considering my early discharge?? they sent me a form to fill in about my income and expenditure which was only 1page..i am courantly on £71 ESA payments and have no extra money left over each week.. they told me they would send letters to my cretitors and if unobjected i will be discharged in 28days??
when or if i do get discharged.... does this mean i would be completely discharged without pregediss or will i still have obligations untill my year or longer?????
under my br i have a car which i was told i could keep its only worth £500 though and was wondering what would happen to this aswell??
thanks keith |

Posted - 31 August 2012 : 17:39:07 worth pointing out that technically you still have a duty to the OR forever, BUT only with regard to matters and assets that incurred before or during the bankruptcy and IPA. for many people this will mean that they bever hear from their OR again but some matters do take a long time to sort out |

Posted - 31 August 2012 : 14:10:02 normally takes about 3 -4 weeks after the letter for the Or to formally discharge interest
just keep checking the OR BIS register
Good Luck Richard,

Posted - 31 August 2012 : 13:51:15 Your credit score will be shot for six years from the date of br so you still won't he able to.get any.
What you have been allowed to keep is quite normal. Keep your accounts and phone contract in order and that will help with your credit rating. |

so would this mean my credit score will be wiped out and i can start building it up again???? iv always thought, been told by people (that obiously havent a clue)that your br stays with you for 5years after your discharge?? is there any truth in this???
under my br i have been allowed to keep my car 2 bank accounts my direct debts and my mobile phone contract which i thought i would never be able to keep?????? is this the norm for br???

Posted - 31 August 2012 : 13:31:44 Hi.
If you are discharged then that's it. The OR will have finished with you.
Your car is quite safe if the OR has let you keep it.
When you are discharged I would print off a copy of the discharge notice on the register in case you need it in future. |
