Posted - 17 October 2012 : 20:52:30 Hi A bit of advice please. I went bankrupt in September. I previously sold on eBay as part of my business and was VAT registered. I still owed some eBay fees for commission.
I have been chased by a debt agency called Iqor for eBay commission still owing. I have previously given them reference number and details of my bankruptcy. They called me this evening ad said they were informed by eBay that their debts can't be included in bankruptcy as I made income from it.
Are these people for real!! They wanted me to pay over the phone now which surely would make them a preferential creditor. If they are sprouting this information to vulnerable people who knows what they will do.
Am I right in saying eBay debts are not exempt in bankruptcy! Thanks

Posted - 17 October 2012 : 21:30:25 I would mention it again to the OR as you shouldn't be getting hassled at all. If they continue, then you can report them to the Office of Fair Trading.
Posted - 17 October 2012 : 21:13:54 HI Vikki thanks..
I had included this on my statement of affairs anyway. I was just a little put out as I had supplied this company a copy of the BO and the supervisor at this firm has told me that eBay has informed them that bankruptcy does not apply to them?? And they will continue to chase the debt until eBay tell them otherwise. I said it is their responsibility to check their legal position.
They have been calling me 4 times a day every day for months...
