Posted - 23 October 2012 : 11:51:37 house has just been sold on assisted sale by mortgage company they say debt will then be a never ending loan which will not have to be paid has we has negative equity left in monthly income this will leave me one hundred and four thousands approx in debt if i go bankrupt will my wife have to as house was in joint names

If the mortgage was in joint names then you are both liable. So if you declared bankruptcy, then they would chase your wife.
