As Viki says - try renting rather than buying. It is an awful lot of money to spend each month and if you rent then it will cost you a lot less and so you could continue with your DMP. You certainly would not be able to carry on with that if you went bankrupt.

Posted - 01 December 2012 : 07:24:37 Hi and welcome,
If you google DVD rental, there are lots of really good companies that you can get lots and lots of DVDs each month for a very small monthly payment, like netflix and lovefilm, (I'm not particularly recommending them as I have no experience with these companies).
This will cut down your costs and if you can pay the extra you save into your DMP, you could get your debts paid off within 5 years, without going bankrupt.
Something for you to look into, but speak to an expert as Niobe has suggested.
Posted - 01 December 2012 : 06:52:59 Hi and welcome to the forum.
I'm so sorry to hear of your health problems and hope that they can improve.
As regards your DVD's I doubt they will be taken from you but you would not be able to continue to spend that amount of money on them if you went bankrupt. Any you did buy would have to be taken from your allowances.
