A Debt Management plan might be an idea as well.

As Viki says - have a chat with an expert for some free advice.

Hi Adam,

Is your debt £5000? I think you may find there are other options other than bankruptcy.

Please speak to an expert for some advice.

Hi and welcome.

All unsecured debt (other than student loans, court fines and CSA arrears) is covered by bankruptcy and will be will be written off. You may find that you have to pay towards it for three years but it depends on your disposable income.

You will have to pay fees of £700 to declare bankruptcy.
