we have a charging on our property due to beneficial interest in the property at the 3 year Mark. this was done 18 months ago. we understand what this order means but should we have had some contact from the O.R to organise a payment plan or do they expect us to save up and pay off lump sum or do they wait until we decide to sell the property and they get their money then??

They will get their money when the property sells, however, If you can, I suggest you try and save up and pay it off asap to get rid of it.
