Posted - 13 January 2014 : 17:44:48 I switched to Co-op 6 years ago in the lead up to bankruptcy as i had an overdraft with barclays. Couldn't fault co-op never had a problem with my cashminder account, all my direct debits for bills are fine and never had my debit card refused anywhere, even abroad. Life without an overdraft is heaven!

Posted - 12 January 2014 : 15:22:03 I'm surprised to hear that. I have a full account with them and even though Barclaycard were one of my creditors I can still use it complete with online banking.
The Co-op are good but do be aware that online banking does not update straight away so you need to keep an eye on your spending.
I'd keep Barclays on, perhaps with a small amount of money as it will help with your credit rating.
