My husband and I are filing for Bankruptcy in the next couple of weeks. We have received a letter from the Council regarding outstanding payments on our Guest house which was handed back to the bank on 7th November 13. We left the property at the end of August to ensure we could secure a rental property. I contacted the council to inform them of this and commenced payment of CT on the new rental property. They have now issued a court summons and unless we pay the outstanding balance it will go forward. I have forwarded the repossession details to the council and they said that it would only marginally affect the repayment. We cannot afford to pay the amount and wasnt sure if this would be able to be included in the Bankruptcy. Can someone please advise as the thought of getting a court summons is worrying me sick! |
