Hes self employed so we have very little money as it is. Im worried at what steps we need to take. Declaring bankruptcy would make it all go away however we don't have the initial fee to pay it. |

Posted - 18 July 2014 : 20:56:55 Well surely any sensible free advice would include ( I would hope) working out a payment plan with the company(s) it's owed too. Surely that has got to be better than going BR? It's £700 to go BR anyway some will take that as a part payment - they nay even reduce the debt down in an offer who knows. One of my creditors wrote to me 2 days after I had gone BR saying my debt was being cut from 10K to 1K if I paid in 7 days. These are the ones who tried to chase me via a DCA last week.. In the end they lost out on everything because they refused to allow me to do a Repayment Plan. But not all are like that.
I always agree - getting advice from anyone and everyone who will offer it for free it worth doing. |

Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010. I'm proof that you can go BR and come out the other side. |

Posted - 29 June 2014 : 11:30:03 Hi and welcome.
As Viki says, take some advice. Initially it is free.
I am sure that something can be sorted out for such a small amount of debt.
