Posted - 27 February 2016 : 09:55:01 hi my husband and I have debts of £22600 with 5 creditors, our total income is £2597 a year, firstly what is classed as acceptable expenditure as I pay for counselling and child care but haven't kept any receipt's, is bankruptcy worth going for?

I suggest you speak to a debt advisor to go through all your options as there are lots of other solutions that may be more suitable, such as a debt relief order.
How much is your debt? How much is your husband's debt? How much joint debt? Are you home owners?
Please post back or call an expert to chat everything through.
As someone who did it and never looked back I would say yes it's definitely worth it. Everyday things are allowed so those will be fine. But the Official Receiver will tell you if otherwise after your 15 minutes of fame in court.
