Hey John
That is so right the saying that has sprung to mind is
"Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me"
And in this situation it fits in so well.
At the end of the day we have to think about what is right for us and our family and not what others are going to say.

Hi Tracey
I'm really pleased our chat on the phone helped today. And well done you re the internet!!!
Sometimes it's all too easy when we're in a mess to forget what's most important for a while.

I know when I was where you are I didn't know what day it was. I spoke to an expert who put it all into prospective and from that point I began to realise that I didn't care about that house, we'll get another one. I didn't worry anymore about anything much, me the wife and the kids, we were solid so who or what in hell's name can hurt me!!!

Hi tracy
You can fill the forms in online and do them at your leisure, you save the pages and submit and print when your ready.

The forms are available from:

https://www.insolvencydirect.gov.uk/isolv/

As for the creditors contacting you after they still will but it will be out of your hands, the OR takes over and you just tell the ones that call you your BR number and OR details and leave it at that.

I caan take a while for the OR to write to them but many see it in the paper so find out that way anyhow.

Hope i helped

is it very horrible, going to court and all. I have never had to go there before. I have phoned the court office today asking them to send all the paperwork for me to fill out. John said one form is 32 pages long and will take some time to fill out. How long do you have to wait to be declared BR and do the creditors stop hassling you straight away

Hey Tracy

I know my shock came in May after years of paying the debts, i dont know how but we did then reality hit.

We went BR on the 4th of August and it was the best thing we ever did.

I know we are not through the fire so to speak yet but we are getting there and so will you.

There is light at the end of the tunnel!
