Hi all,

I've just been to my local court and handed over my SOA and fee. I signed it, handed over the money and then sat for a while. The lady came back and asked me to swear on the bible, which I did. I've been given a date to see the judge on 16th September, which is 15 days from now.
When I got home, I found a letter from one of my creditors who have issued a default notice. Should I let them know now that I am petitioning for my own BR or leave it for a while? Also just realised I missed a couple of things off my SOA expenses! bugger! They are only worth £20 together, but the figure I put for essentials includes them. Will I be able to discuss it with the OR?
Kicking myself here, I checked it over so many times and still missed them

Hi Bob,

Some courts operate on an appointment basis, and some are first-come-first-served. As Jo says, best to phone in advance and double-check.

Hi Bob,

You would need to call your local court and ask them. They would then be able to tell you what you should do next, i rang mine and made an appt, but some you can just turn up.

Good luck and ..............

Hi Grantspants,

I wouldn't worry about the default notice. There's nothing you can do about it, and they won't be able to take further action in time.

Anything you've missed from your SOA can be included when you have your OR interview. Don't worry, it will soon be over.

Hello again,
Glad you have your date now, it will soon wizz by.

As for the missed bits, just explain at the interview, i missed some things and went over it with mine.

As for the creditors you could now you have the date tell them, then hopefully they will crawl back under their stone till you have the BR certificate.

Good luck and keep on posting.

Keep Smiling
Jo :)
